Continued development and research to support children's learning through the use of digital technologies and STEAM education, with a focus on children's foreign language acquisition in formal settings such as classrooms and informal settings such as the home, using technologies such as AI, touchscreen devices, virtual reality, and augmented reality.
The COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged children to become more frequent users of digital media, including playback videos and music, blogs, games, and chats. In particular, these young learners have engaged in schooling from home during this period via online classes and involvement with digital technology such as tablets and computers. Children will return to normal school schedules, but they and their teachers are expected to utilize more digital technology in the classroom than they were before the pandemic, and more online classes will be created for this age group, as there are many successful cases of children learning at home. Consequently, children will have more options to form connections with people worldwide by meeting children, mentors, and instructors from other countries, bringing the world closer together and making learning more personalized.
